UGH MAGICMAN. He really isn't sure he wants to be talking with anybody a World Three navi would try to send his way. But. Robotics engineer. He as reasons to be interested in this. "Alternate universe versions of himself" sort of reasons. (Also it's robots, and robots are cool)
...screw caution, he's curious. After a few minutes a familiar loading circle pops up on the screen, followed shortly by the Blue Bomber himself in all his twelve-year-old aesthetic glory.]

[No offense, Hiro, his default image of an engineer is someone like his dad. He wasn't expecting someone who looks like they could be Lan's classmate.]
[ Whoa. Hiro jolts at that, still not used to Navis being able to, y'know, hop across the network and into his comm. If they weren't so awesome, he'd have to set up some safety protocols. He appears to be lying down in bed with the comm ... hovering? Yeah, the comm is totally hovering a few feet above his face. Standard procedure for a technokinetic like him. Definitely younger than Megaman's initial mental image, physically closer to twelve than he is to fifteen. Also, he has a small crowd of helperbots chilling around him, as well as a mettaur and a fishy perched on opposite shoulders.
... Is that disappointment he hears in Megaman's tone? He's not sure. Honestly, he wasn't expecting to face the navi so soon, so he's a bit nervous now. ]
[Not disappointed, really, just kind of surprised. He knows how smart his brother is, the kind of things he can pull of if he just applies himself, to say nothing of kids like Shun and Yaito. Still, some mental associations are just hard to shake. He at least has the decency to look sheepish about it.]

[His gaze doesn't really stray from Hiro's face at first. He does noticably glance at the virii a couple times - pre-programmed "survival instinct," he's nervous even though he knows they can't attack him from out there - and then his curiosty kicks in and he's staring at everything while trying very hard to not look like he is because ignoring your conversation partner is rude. What can he say, Megaman craves new mental stimuli the way human kids crave candy.
[ Oh, phew. Hiro relaxes a little at that and wills himself to be a little less self-conscious. It's a hard habit for a kid who was bullied as bad as he was to break. Some of the Bayminis are inactive, but the ones that are on peer up at Megaman from their spots on the bed. Their bitty little eyes blink as they take the navi in. ]

[ A pause. Oh right, he's doing that to the comm. Should he put it down? He will if Megaman seems uncomfortable, but not yet. ]

His expression drops for a moment at Hiro's question before he forces a smile. Right, he's going to have to be a lot more careful when talking about his family, isn't he. People here aren't used to netnavis integrating themselves into their operators lives. Gotta get used to explaining his cover.]
Well, yeah! Dr. Hikari programmed me, so that makes him my dad, right? [He shrugs.] Even if he hadn't, he's Lan's dad too, and Lan's family is my family, so he'd be my dad anyway.

He's gleefully scanning the edges of the "screen" now, trying to see if he can spot anything to examine.] It must be really useful when you're working! Have you always had it? What can you do? [ He was mostly just interested in the logistics of it - he'll be the first to insist that true AI are people too, after all. Guess he should have sussed out the programmer part without asking, but there's a lot he doesn't know about navis in general. He opens his mouth to ask a follow-up question - right when Megaman gets all nerdy. Well. That's okay. He can come back to the dad subject later after all. For now, it's nerd time. ]
I know, right? I got about a fifteen foot radius I think. Can't really lift anything over like fifty pounds, but if it's under that? Pretty much anything I want. Guess I got lucky when they ported me in, huh?
[ He turns the comm slowly with his powers to let Megaman get a better view of the room. The room is full - utterly full, from the floor to the ceiling - with equipment and components. To some people, it probably just looks like a floating minefield, but for anyone with a mind for science and organization, they'd be able to see the patterns immediately. That corner houses the piece of a 3-D printer that Hiro's revamping. And that corner has tools all laid out vertically so he can see them all at once. It's a 3-D workspace that uses all of the space in the room, not just his desk or the floor. ]
[And it's a system that's incredibly familiar to Megaman, and possibly most other navis as well. Being able to utilize a computer or other storage medium to its maximum potential often means using and organizing the available space as efficiently as possible. It's not exactly the same, to be sure, but it's close enough that he can see the general patterns even without much knowledge of engineering to go by.]
Really lucky! So much better than just getting stuck in a body. [A beat.] Um, no offense.
[It's still a really weird experience, even after all the time he's had to acclimate. He doesn't like that his memory doesn't work quite the way he's used to...and he really doesn't like that "Hub's" memories keep getting called up when he doesn't want them to be. Stupid human sense memories and their stupid automatic triggering.]
[He actually has to think about this for a moment. Everything's pretty strange for him, still, even with Hub's "previous experience" helping to smooth things out. Picking just one thing to call the strangest?]
Honestly? Just being out there. [He gestures at the "screen."] I've seen the real world my whole life, and I could kind of interact with it, if I plugged into the right tech. But actually being there, with no screen between me and it? It's pretty weird. Everything's more intense than in the cyber world. Louder, more crowded, input to process constantly.
...I used to wonder what it would be like, y'know? To be where my family was. It's a lot different from what I imagined.
